Healthy And Delicious Chocolate Vegan Treats Perfect For Winter

Just because you’re trying to eat healthily doesn’t mean you can’t indulge in chocolate, especially when the treats are vegan and packed with protein. These two recipes will tame that sweet tooth and they’re ready in minutes. Each includes Hush and Hush PlantYourDay vegan protein powder, which is available at our medical spa. Chocolate Mug Cake

Who doesn’t love chocolate? This fantastic recipe is not only delicious, but it is vegan and packs a whopping 17 grams of protein in just a few hundred calories.



Ingredients

  • Microwave-safe mug

  • 1 scoop of PlantYourDay Vegan Protein Powder, available at our spa

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 tsp cocoa powder

  • 1 tbsp sweetener, like Truvia

  • 1 1/2 tbsp Vegan Dark chocolate chips

  • 3 tbsp oat flour

  • 1/4 cup almond milk

Directions

  • In a microwave-safe mug, combine all dry ingredients (excluding chocolate chips) to almond milk, stir.

  • Stir until the batter is a slightly thick consistency with no lumps.

  • Stir in chocolate chips.

  • Microwave in the center of the microwave for 60-90 seconds (depending on your wattage). Stop after the cake rises in the mug.

  • Keep microwaving by extra 10-second bursts until the center is set, not gooey or liquid.

  • Let cool for 30 seconds, sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top, and enjoy!


Protein Packed Peppermint Hot Chocolate

This hot chocolate is so indulgent-tasting and delicious you wouldn’t know it’s dairy-free unless you’re the one making it!



Ingredients

  • 1 cup light coconut milk (from the can)

  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 scoop of PlantYourDay Vegan Protein Powder, available at our spa

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

  • Pinch of sea salt

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a small pot and place over medium low heat. Whisk vigorously to combine and to get rid of any lumps of cocoa. Do not let the hot chocolate boil. Simply warm in the pot until steamy, about 3-5 minutes.

  • Once hot, remove from heat and pour into two mugs. Top with dairy-free whipped cream or vegan marshmallows, and/or a dusting of unsweetened cocoa powder.
